The contractor will perform service work comprising forestry management and wildfire mitigation across approximately 36 acres (+/- 5 acres) of forest land divided across six management units. Treatment methods involve mechanical and hand harvesting—utilizing variable-density thinning, free thinning, patch cuts, and understory/conifer removal—to reduce stand density, mitigate severe wildfire risk to surrounding communities, enhance meadow/aspen habitats, and protect local drinking water sources. Operations include felling, skidding, processing, log removal, slash management (minimum 90% removal target), site rehabilitation, and installing erosion controls while protecting residual trees and infrastructure.
