The Library of Congress is seeking a proof of concept for ultra-high-density optical storage to preserve a subset of its digital collections. The work calls for writing 1 TB of video, audio, text, and image data to optical media, detecting errors, and demonstrating complete recovery and high-fidelity reading. The contractor must document the process and its limitations, and prepare a curated subset of the stored data for an educational and artistic display.
