The Board of Trustees reviewed and approved mission statements for H. Council Trenholm State Community College, Southern Union State Community College, and Bevill State Community College. Authorization was granted for J.F. Drake State Community & Technical College to purchase real property. The Board approved several new academic programs, including an Associate in Applied Science degree and certificate in Advanced Manufacturing at Northeast Alabama Community College, Medical Assisting programs at Gadsden State Community College, a Respiratory Therapy program at Coastal Alabama Community College, a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician program at Trenholm State Community College, and a Welding Technology degree at Snead State Community College.
