Wellsboro Area School District Board of Education Meeting
The meeting included discussions on accepting resignations, approving extra-curricular resignations, and appointing coordinators for Title IX, Right-to-Know, and School Safety and Security. There were also approvals for overnight field trip requests. The board considered a Memorandum of Understanding with the Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission, a service agreement with the Northern Tier Industry Education Consortium, and a contract for music therapy services. Tax rates for the 2025-26 fiscal year, the General Fund Operating Budget, and the Act 1 Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion Resolution were adopted. Additional topics included a Frontier Sales Proposal for internet backup, school breakfast/lunch prices, participation in the School-Based ACCESS Program, extra-curricular volunteer appointments and hires, substitute hires for the Special Education Extended School Year Program, and various personnel matters such as hires, FMLA requests, and appointments. Summer professional development for teachers was also approved, along with a conference request.
